For many years the Town Hall has been eager to remove the electricity pylons in and around the residential area of Los Pacos. Thanks to a project which sees greater investment for local communities being approved towards the end of the year; this will now become a reality and the pylons are already being dismantled. About a 1,000 metres of cable are now running underground between the nearby school, Valdelecrín, and Pajares stream.

One Los Pacos resident said, “We have been petitioning for a long time to have these removed. Not only do they look really ugly but I believe it is safer to have everything of this nature below ground like they do in other areas. No-one will miss looking at these towers”

  • Spanish housing review by RICS 03/04/2010
The housing market downturn continued during 2009. There was some evidence that the decline might be bottoming out towards the end of the year, though the housing market and the wider economy still face substantial problems. So, it is by no means certain that the end of the housing market downturn has actually been reached. The [...]
