Fuengirola Town Hall has announced that work will start to install solar panels on the roofs of public buildings next week.

The municipal scheme to install solar panels on the roofs of all the public buildings in Fuengirola looks set to get off the ground in November: Once they are up and running the panels will generate, in real time and with immediate effect, the equivalent of the power used by 304 households in a year. At the same time the project will relieve the atmosphere of a thousand tonnes of CO2, a similar amount to the emissions produced by a vehicle over three million kilometres.
